1265 Main Street, Waltham, MA
Located 10 miles west of Boston in Waltham, MA on I-95/Rt. 128, 1265 Main is a new two phase mixed use development that will include 1.3 million square feet of office and retail space when completed. With easy access, high visibility, and exceptional demographics, the prime real estate development site had many challenges to overcome to bring a development to reality.
DW White was selected by the Owner to participate in value engineering, constructability review, to regrade and provide the infrastructure to support the development. We also worked with the design team to coordinate with NStar to relocate both transmission lines and distribution lines which bisected the property.
This collaborative effort resulted in value engineering credit worth $6M along with a workable schedule which accommodated the NStar relocation work. A Lump Sum Contract with the Owner was negotiated and executed. We are currently participating in permitting meetings with the Owner and design team as the project advances. We have completing offsite improvements subject to MassDOT Permit Work requirements.
