Available Positions

Project Manager

  • Mon-Fri, 7am – 5pm working hours at DWW main office
  • Discussing daily operations with field supervision.
  • Assisting field supervision with real-time field issues
  • Site visits 1 – 2 times per week or as needed
  • Attending progress meetings (typically weekly) with the owner and project team
  • Interdepartmental communication and coordination
  • Developing short-term & project-wide schedules using scheduling software (Primavera P6/Microsoft Project)
  • Subcontractor contract negotiations, planning, scheduling and coordination.
  • Utilizing project management software tools, ie. Procore, Sharepoint, etc…, to manage project components such as material submittals, RFI’s, drawing logs, etc…
  • Material procurement and delivery coordination
  • Working with the project engineers to implement proposed designs and incorporating field changes
  • Estimating, submitting and negotiating contract change orders
  • Submitting monthly (or bi-monthly) pay requisitions
  • Invoice approval

Estimating Assistant

  • Mon-Fri, 7am-5pm working hours at DWW main office
  • Analysis of plan drawings and document specifications
  • Creation of RFQ’s for Subcontractors & Vendors Material Pricing
  • Daily communication with subcontractors and vendors regarding scope and schedule
  • Print, log, and file quotations from Subcontractors and Vendors
  • Utilizing take-off software to accurately quantify bid documents (Bluebeam Revu and Agtek)
  • Utilizing software to accurately price a bid (Excel and Bid2Win)
  • Interdepartmental communication and coordination
  • Assisting in the creation of Submittals
  • Logging and Tracking Submittal correspondence
  • Coordinate Document/Plan printing with field personnel

Survey Chief

  • 6:30am – 4:00pm Sites
  • Stakeout – roadway, underground utilities, bridge layout, sidewalks, and building pads.
  • Topo – project subsurface layers for payment (topo existing, stripped, and subgrade).
  • As-Built – all work performed and create detailed CAD files for review.
  • CAD Drafting – create cross sections and plan area drawings for payment.

We send all of our surveyors to training yearly. Mainly to keep up with all of our tech. We have GPS in almost our entire fleet of excavators, dozers, and motor grades. We also employ two advanced imaging dronies for photogrammetry and we have two commercial drone pilots on staff. We use robotic total stations and MM-GPS. This technology gives our surveyors millimeter accuracy with the flexibility of using GPS receivers.

Training:

  • Topcon and Trimble for machine control.
  • CAD – Every surveyor get 1-5 days training a year depending on skill level.
  • Agtek – Select surveyors who show the aptitude for modeling will get a week of
  • 3D modeling training with an outside consultant.
  • Topcon – Training for layout and equipment.

Note: We do not layoff our surveyors in the winter they are full time employees.

Bridge Survey Chief

6:30am – 4:00pm Sites

I’m looking for someone with experience laying out bridges for construction. The work includes stakeout of bridge excavation limits, topo of excavation, layout of foundation forms, pinning walls, rebar layout, and anchor bolt layout. The work also includes reading shop drawings and verifying overall steel lengths versus delivered beams and checking anchor bolt to anchor bolt lengths in insure proper dimensions prior to replacement of beams. The above is a brief description of work that is needed for bridge construction.
