Position Overview:

We are looking for an Office Engineer to provide technical and administrative support for our civil construction projects. The Office Engineer will work closely with project managers, field engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that project documentation, communications, and processes are managed effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including contracts, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and meeting minutes.
  • Manage project correspondence, communications, and documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with project managers, field engineers, and subcontractors to track project progress, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Maintain project files, records, and databases, and ensure that all documentation is organized and accessible to project team members.
  • Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to identify discrepancies, conflicts, or potential issues.
  • Support the resolution of technical issues, conflicts, and challenges that arise during construction.
  • Provide administrative support to the project team.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in civil construction or related office engineering role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and construction methods.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to review and analyze technical documents and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards is a plus.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Field Engineer to provide technical support and oversight for our civil construction projects. The Field Engineer will work closely with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure that construction activities are carried out according to plans, specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to verify existing conditions and identify potential challenges or obstacles.
  • Monitors adherence to plans, specifications, and approved drawings.
  • Track and verify accuracy of project productions, cost coding or manhours, equipment, and in-place quantities daily.
  • Prepare and submit accurate project cost reporting, revenue, and cash flow projections.
  • Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed and installed materials and work.
  • Participate in jobsite safety reviews, mass safety meetings, and safety training.
  • Assist in the preparation of project plans, drawings, and specifications, and ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with these documents.
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
  • Document field observation, progress reports, and as-built drawings to maintain accurate project records.
  • Assist in resolving technical issues and addressing project requirements as they arise during construction.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to the project team to ensure the successful completion of civil construction projects.

Qualifications:

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented COOP to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with experienced Estimators, Surveyors, Project Managers, Field Engineers, and Superintendents to analyze project specifications, perform quantity takeoffs, prepare accurate cost estimates, work with subcontractors, support surveying, and more. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience both in the office and in the field in the civil construction industry to apply classroom knowledge to real-world projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to understand project scope and requirements.
  • Solicit and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and material suppliers to accurately estimate project costs.
  • Assist in preparing comprehensive cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead, using estimating software (Bid2Win) and spreadsheets.
  • Assist in quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and subcontractor/vendor bid solicitations.
  • Assist in creation, logging, and tracking of Submittals.
  • Assist in conducting field surveys, including site surveys, boundary, topographic, etc.
  • Assist in the collection and analysis of survey data to ensure accuracy and quality control.
  • Prepare and set-up survey files for field crews.
  • Support Project Managers with daily operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management
  • Participate in site inspections and quality control processes to ensure compliance with safety and construction standards
  • Observe and learn about various construction techniques, equipment, and technologies

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Excellent mathematical skills with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivator and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
  • This is an in-person opportunity open to Junior and Senior college students with working Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm in office (Acushnet, MA) and at jobsites (TBD).
